1. Get a written plan
After your examination you receive a treatment plan that lists each step and what it costs, so you know the full amount before anything begins.
Paying for treatment
What monthly dental payment plans are, how CareCredit, Sunbit and Cherry differ, and how to pay for treatment when you do not have dental insurance.
Most people who put off dental treatment do it for one reason: they do not know what it will cost or how they will pay for it. The answer is the same for every patient at our Mount Prospect office — you see the plan and the numbers first, and you choose how to pay before treatment starts.
Dental costs usually come in three parts: what your insurance plan contributes, what you pay yourself, and, when you need it, a way to spread your part over monthly payments. The sections below explain each one.
Step by step
After your examination you receive a treatment plan that lists each step and what it costs, so you know the full amount before anything begins.
Our team reviews the benefit information available for your plan and explains the portion your insurance is expected to cover.
Pay in full by cash or card, or apply for monthly financing through Sunbit, Cherry or CareCredit and spread the balance over time.
Nothing starts until you have agreed the plan and the way you are paying for it.
Monthly payments
Each company sets its own approval decision, payment length and interest terms. Read what they send you before accepting an offer.
Apply in the office in a few minutes. The application uses a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score.
Choose from monthly payment plans after a soft credit check. Cherry decides the amount you qualify for.
A health and dental credit card used for treatment costs, with monthly payment options set by CareCredit.
Call before your visit with your plan details and our team will help review how your current benefits apply to the treatment you need.
We accept cash and major credit cards. Ask the front desk to confirm accepted payment methods before your appointment.
We work with Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit, so approved patients can spread treatment costs over monthly payments.
Depending on the treatment plan, additional payment arrangements may be considered. Nothing is confirmed until after your clinical assessment.
Being uninsured does not change the care you receive. You are examined, you get the same written treatment plan, and you decide how to pay. Many patients handle routine visits directly and use monthly financing only for larger treatment such as implants, a root canal and crown, or full-mouth work.
If you do have a plan, our team can help review the benefit information available for it before your visit, so the estimate you see is as close as possible to what you will actually pay.
